Easwari Engineering college,(Autonomous) a unit of SRM Group of Educational Institution for higher learning is functioning under "Valliammai Society". The society was founded in the year 1975, for promoting the cause of Quality Education,by Thiru T.R Paarivendhar, an Academician and Educationalist. EEC was established in the academic year 1996. The college is affiliated to Anna University chennai ,since 2002approved by AICTE ,New Delhi. The college offers eight Under Graduate and six Post Graduate Programs covering Engineering & Technology and Management. Most of the courses are accredited by NBA. The college has a strong industry intereaction with reputed National and International Organizations.The college has obtained ISO 9001:2015 Certificatoion from TUV South Asia. The college is Accredited with 'A' Grade by NAAC. The college has been Ranked as 200th position by NIRF INDIA in 2019.

The Department of Civil Engineering was Established in the year 2007-2008. Since inception, the Department of Civil Engineering has been imparting knowledge in 'General Engineering concepts' and 'studies' in 'Civil Engineering'. With the concurrent acquisition of technical skills in labs, inspiration and awakening of the young minds by vibrant teachers, the students are engaged intellectually, in the colllege. These critical contributions lead the students to explore and discover the wonders of their minds, which in turn synergize together and enable the students transform themeselves to become true engineers and techologists. With character,dedication,brilliance,effectiveness and enthusiasm , they become capable and also analytical in their approach and transform themselves as Engineering Professionals of the future,with ethics.
